Ducati India has launched the Panigale V4 as part of strengthening its portfolio in India. The Panigale V4 is BS6-compliant and comes in either standard iteration V4 or the higher-spec ‘S’ trim at ₹23.50 lakh and ₹28.40 lakh, ex-showroom respectively. Along with the Panigale V4, we may soon see the Multistrada V4 and as well as the Diavel 1260.
The Panigale V4 receives the same aero package as the V4R. There are also several revisions made to the aero department to make the Panigale V4 more ‘rideable’ and controllable than before. Along with the aero packages, Panigale V4 also gets MotoGP-inspired winglets and cooling vents.
As said before, the Panigale V6 sources power from a BS 6-compliant 1,103 cc V4 Desmosedici Stradale engine. This can produce 211 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 124 Nm of peak torque at 9,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Both the Standard and S trims carry the same engine tuning and electronics package. The key difference is the addition of electronically controlled Ohlins suspension, forged aluminum wheels, a lithium-ion battery, and a lesser weight of only 195kg.
The new Panigale V6 also includes the latest generation Ducati Traction Control that is much predictive than before: The system prevents slippage of the rear wheel in mid-corner, thanks to the continuous monitoring of the angular acceleration of the crankshaft and the speed of the rear wheel. Other features include the ABS Cornering EVO, DTC EVO 3, DSC, DWC EVO, DPL, DQS EVO 2, EBC EVO, DES EVO, and New Riding Mode strategy.
