The Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift has been launched, with prices starting from Rs 63.6 lakh. The E-Class is available in three trims– Expression, Exclusive, and AMG Line. The first 2 come with E200 and E200d, while the E350d is available in AMG Line trim only.
Design & Styling
It's very evident by just a glance that the car has a long wheelbase to accommodate significant space inside the car. The E-Class comes with a tweaked front and rear bumper, new sets of Mercedes signature headlights, and split taillamps, radiator grille - a three-slat chrome grille for the E200 & E200d while the E350d gets a diamond-studded grille at the front. The E 350d AMG-line variant sprints on sportier 18-inch AMG alloy wheels.
The E-Class colour options available are Polar White, Obsidian Black, High-Tech Silver, and Mojave Silver. Moreover, Selenite Grey and Designo Hyacinth Red are available only for a limited period.
Interior & Features
No doubt that being a Mercedes it has got all the bits to provide comfort and luxury in abundance but is also equipped with a bunch of next-gen tech and features. The E-Class comes with a new steering wheel with the provision of touch controls, two 12.3-inch digital screens, one on the Artico leather dashboard embedded with Mercedes's MBUX software and the other one for the instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, removable touchpad at the centre of the rear armrest, 590 W Burmester surround sound system and beige-Tropez blue interior upholstery for the top of the line AMG E350d variant.
Two wireless phone charging ports, three-zone automatic climate control, air suspension, soft-close doors, and Mercedes’ Me connect with Alexa, and Google home are some of its other top premium features. Safety features include ABS with EBD and brake assist, traction control, ESP, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree parking camera, and seven airbags.
Engine & Powertrain
Powering this luxury sedan is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol in the E200, and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel in the E200d putting out 197hp/320Nm and 194hp/400Nm respectively. Whereas, powering the E350d is a 3.0-litre in-line 6-cylinder diesel powerhouse producing 286hp and 600Nm of torque. All the engines are mated to a 9-Speed automatic transmission as standard.
