The Range Rover Velar 2021 has been launched, bringing more equipment, an updated infotainment system, a more powerful diesel engine. All at a starting price of Rs 79.87 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
The new Range Rover Velar gets a more powerful, 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that can produce 204hp. When comparing it against the previous generation, it is an upgrade of 24hp from 180hp with the torque remaining the same at 430Nm. This 2021 version also comes with mild-hybrid technology.
Along with that, there is also a petrol variant that has a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit capable of producing 250hp. Both the Diesel and petrol engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard and all-wheel drive. There is also the inclusion of air suspension which should help improve the SUV’s ride quality.

As for the cabin, the Velar comes with the Pivi Pro infotainment system used in both Jaguar Land Rover. Other additions include a 360-degree camera, active road noise cancellation, and a PM 2.5 filter for the cabin air ionization system.
