Benelli Plans To Bring A New Cruiser To India

After launching the new TKR 502 BS6, Benelli is now planning to bring a new 600cc cruiser to the Indian market this year. This will help them compete with segment leader, Royal Enfield, who is already dominating with the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650.

For the last few months, Benelli wasn't having many models to offer as many of their line-ups were pulled down due to emission regulations. However, the brand is now off to a fresh start after launching the Imperiale 400 BS6 and is now planning to introduce bigger cruiser bikes in India for the later part of 2021.

"With the TRK 502 we will be stepping in the touring segment, and with the TRK 502X will be returning to the adventure segment. Going forward we will also have higher capacity options in the cruiser segment. While we already have the Imperiale, we are now looking forward to bring higher cc options in the cruising segment and we are also going to focus on the street naked segment. So all in all, we will be active in four different segments in 2021," Said Mr Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Benelli India, regarding the brand's plans to branch out and explore other segments in India.

Even though there aren’t any official confirmations, we can assume that a new Imperiale bike is in the works and it will most likely be the 'bigger cruiser' that Benelli India referred to in the statement released. If everything is taken into account, we can expect the bigger capacity, Benelli Imperiale, to land in the second half of 2021 in India.
