2021 BMW M5 Competition Launched In India At Rs 1.62 Crore

BMW on Thursday, launched the all-new BMW M5 Competition facelift has been launched in India at the price of Rs 1.62 crore (ex-showroom, India), Rs 7 lakh more than the current BMW M5, which was priced at Rs 1.55 crore (ex-showroom, India).

The new M5 gets styling revisions on the exterior. This is in line with the recently launched 5 Series facelift. We could see a revised grille, new Laserlight headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, revised tail-lamps revised bumpers, a new apron, and diffuser design at the rear along with revised exhaust tips. There is also an option for the buyers to choose from the three options for the 20-inch alloy wheels.

BMW has also tweaked the car’s chassis, thus this performance sedan gets new shock absorbers. On the Inside, there is the new 12.3-inch infotainment system with the latest iDrive system and support for Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

As for the equipment provided, the M5 Competition gets adaptive dampers, M drive modes including a track mode, ambient lighting, gesture control, voice assistant, powered and heated front sports seats, four-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, hands-free parking, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Buyers can include optional stuff such as sunroof, massage function, rear-seat entertainment, and a 360-degree camera.

Under the hood, the updated M5 Competition gets a 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 that produces 625hp and 750Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with a four-wheel drive. BMW claims that the M5 competition can get from 0-100kph in just 3.3sec
