Bugatti reveals the new Chiron Super Sport as an update to the standard Chiron. The Chiron Super Sport follows in the footsteps of Type 55 SuperSport, EB 110 SuperSport, and the 2010 Veyron Super Sport. Bugatti has said that this car will enter production in early 2022.
The prime difference over the standard Chiron can be seen on the front end. There is a 25cm-longer rear end that optimizes aerodynamic efficiency.
This is combined with the revised diffuser and exhaust vents on the rear wings, thus helping the Chiron SuperSport to counteract the immense downforce while traveling at its top speed of 440kph. Customers will be given an option to chose the lightweight magnesium wheels as the SuperSport comes with a unique set of five-spoke aluminum items.
The chassis has been modified completely to match the revised styling and dual focus. The steering and dampers have been firmed up for improved high-speed stability and smoother cornering behavior. Inside, the SuperSport carries its design language from the standard Chiron. This is evident by looking at the polished aluminum, the leather used inside, and various other elements of carbon fiber.
The SuperSport comes as powerful as its name, thanks to the quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 petrol engine, tuned to match the 1,600hp output of the Special edition 304mph (489kph) car. This engine can produce power from 300rpm to 7,100rpm. The SuperSport can accelerate from 0-200kph in just 5.8sec, 7 percent faster than the standard Chiron.
