Ducati Diavel 1260 Launched At Rs 18.49 Lakh

Ducati launched the BS6 Diavel 1260 at Rs 18.49 lakhs in India, and is available in two variants, standard and S, with the S variant being premium at Rs 21.49 lakh. Looking at the design, we could see that there isn’t much change in Diavel's sinister design from the previous version. The stand-out features are the beefy front fork, exposed trellis frame, large fuel tank, and wide 240- section rear tire. The Diavel S gets a different wheel design, Ohlins suspension, and Brembo M50 Monobloc brakes.

As for the colors, the standard trim gets a black colorway and a black trellis frame. On the other hand, the Diavel 1260 S, gets a contrasting red trellis frame in its black color. The S trim can also opt-in a ravishing new Ducati Red paintwork.

The Ducati Diavel uses a 1,262cc, Euro5/BS6 compliant L-twin engine. This engine is capable to produce 162hp at 9,500rpm, a 3hp increment over its predecessor. The Peak torque continues to be the same - 129Nm at 7,500rpm. Another difference is the increase in kerb weight. It has gone up from 244 to 249kg, but the S variant becomes lighter, at 247kg, 2kg less than its predecessor.

Both variants provided features such as launch control, cornering ABS, wheelie control, multi-level traction control, and an up/down quickshifter. Prices start at Rs 18.49 lakh for the Standard variant and Rs 21.49 lakh for the Diavel S. Those who want to get the new Ducati 1260 and the 1260 S can book them at their nearest Ducati dealership. The new Ducati 1260 competes against the Triumph Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT.
