Hyundai Releases A Few Sketches Of Its Upcoming 7-Seater - Alcazar

The Korean carmaker has finally released the design sketches of the much-awaited launch of 2021, the Alcazar. The sketches show the interior as well as the exterior portion of the car. The sketch of the exterior is of the rear three-quarter of the car where the major changes have been incorporated. The differentiating factor between the Creta and the Alcazar is the addition of the third row.

Design & Dynamics

The Alcazar silhouette is inspired by Hyundai's design language of "Sensuous Sportiness". It gets the same sharp body lines as Creta with creases above the front and rear wheel arches. However, it gets a different faux skid plate, and an overhung extended rear to accommodate the third row. It also gets better redesigned LED taillights fixed on the new tailgate than on the Creta. The Alcazar will run on a set of new 17-inch diamond-cut alloys.

Interior & Spacing

One of the sketches released gives us a brief view of how the interior is going to be like. The Alcazar will be offered with a 7-seater as well as with 8-seater variant. The 7-seater version will get the captain's chair for the second row and the 8-seater version will accompany a bench seat in the 2nd row. It gets the same dashboard and upholstery as the Creta. Therefore, it is expected to be equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Along with a digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, and BOSE sound system.

Engine & Gearbox

Hyundai Alcazar will come with the same engine and gearbox options as the Creta. The car will directly rival the MG Hector Plus and the recently launched Tata Safari. In terms of pricing, the Alcazar will be slightly more expensive than the current generation Creta and it's expected to launch in the first week of April.
