Jeep Grand Commander 7-Seater SUV Spotted In India

Jeep fans have a new reason to get excited as the jeep Grand Commander has been spotted in India, hinting towards an imminent launch. Codenamed as H6, this new model gives competition towards the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. As of now, it is expected that the Jeep Grand will launch sometime in mid-2022.

Looking at its design, the Jeep Grand Commander 7-seater has a styling that has a very similar design language as that of the Jeep Compass. The key change in the front design is the upright front fascia that features a 7-slat grille. At the rear end, the Commander has a slim tail lamp cluster which help’s it to differentiate itself from others.

Since it is a 7 seater, the Grand Commander will be offered with 3-rows of seats. It is also said that there could be also a 6-seater configuration with separate captain seats in the second row. Just as the exterior design, the interior of Commander has a similar design as that of the new Compass but with a more premium touch overall.

We are expecting to see a large touchscreen infotainment head-unit, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, and features like wireless charging and many more common features that we see in this price range. As for the engine, The Indian variant of Grand Commander could be offered with the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that powers the Compass. But this engine could be tuned a little bit to produce more power.

There will also be an option to choose between a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive. As for the price, we are expecting to see the price range start from 30 lakhs and go all the way up to 35 lakhs. We need to wait for some time more to get more information regarding this.
