Italian supercar manufacturer, Lamborghini, has unveiled the new Huracan Evo RWD Spyder in India at INR 3.54 Crore (ex-showroom, India). This new RWD Spyder from Lamborghini will be taking on the Ferrari Portofino in the convertible supercar category. With the launch of this new variant, Lamborghini now officially sells 4 variants of the Huracan in India; AWD Coupe and Spyder, RWD Coupe and Spyder. Apart from these models, the brand also sells the Urus SUV and the V12-powered Aventador in India.
In terms of design, the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder shares much of its details with the RWD Coupe and is powered by the same engine. The RWD Spyder carries over the AWD model’s twin buttress design – a styling element aimed at improving aerodynamic efficiency and downforce. However, the new front splitter, back end diffuser and the new rear bumper stand apart from that of the AWD Coupe.
Inside, the car stays the same as other Huracan models and continues to get the touchscreen multimedia display and other comfort features. The car also gets a rear windscreen that can be raised and lowered independently of the roof, to let the sound of the V10 engine into the cabin. The roof itself can be folded at the touch of a button, and it can be lowered in 17 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/hr.

Talking about the engine, the RWD Spyder uses a 5.2-litre, naturally-aspirated V10 petrol unit as the rest of the Huracan range. The unit develops 610 HP and 560 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which helps it reach speeds of up to 324 km/hr. The Spyder is marginally slower than the Coupe, as it's claimed to complete the 0-100 km/hr run in 3.5 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds slower than the RWD Coupe, as it's a whole 120 kgs heavier than the latter.
