New 2022 Honda Monkey Unveiled

Honda has unveiled their new 2022 Honda Monkey with features like a Euro-5-compliant engine, new exhaust, and improved suspension.

The Honda has designed the Monkey in a retro style, giving it a unique look and lends it a sense of character. The paint schemes improve that retro flair, With the LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster, it gives the Honda Money a modern blend too.

The Monkey uses a steel backbone frame with a USD fork at the front and new twin shock absorbers at the back. With this, it could feature two-stage springs and revised damper rubbers, thus improving ride quality over bumpy roads. There is a 220mm disc for Braking at the front and a 190mm disc at the back. New Honda gets IMU-controlled ABS as standard, and it now runs on 12-inch wheels, shod with chunky, block pattern tires.

The engine that Honda has plonked is a Euro-5-compliant, 125cc, air-cooled engine that produces 9.2hp at 6,750rpm and 11Nm at 5,500rpm, and is paired with a 5-Speed gearbox. Honda has added a new intake and reshaped the airbox. There is a new exhaust muffler with a single chamber. and it is said to offer a nicer exhaust note.

As for the kerb weight, it is lighter than the previous version at 104kg, whereas the previous model weighed 107kg.

Thus, better results in a power to weight ratio of 88.46hp/ton. The Honda Monkey is currently on sale in international markets, with a price of £3,799 (around Rs 4 lakh INR), and is available in three colors Pearl Glittering Blue, Banana Yellow, and Pearl Nebula Red.
