SSC Unveils Two New Tuatara Models Named Striker & Aggressor

SSC has unveiled two new cars based on the 1,750 horsepower Tuatara Hypercar. The Washington-based supercar maker announced the launch of the Tuatara Striker and Tuatara Aggressor, with the ability to customize a lot according to the user's needs.

The Tuatara Striker comes with a high-downforce aggressive body kit. There is a fixed rear wing with a vertical stabilizer and a massive new rear diffuser set. Adding to that, it also gets a new splitter with integrated dive planes up front. This new aero kit delivers 1,100 pounds of downforce at 160 mph, compared against the 362 pounds of the standard Tuatara.

The Tuatara Aggressor also uses the Striker’s aero kit, but SSC said customers will be given the freedom with the Aggressor to customize the supercar to near-limitless levels. They can customize it according to their preference, be it in the performance, appearance, and options. Along with this, customers can even customize their racing seats.

Customers will be given the option to choose Lexan windows and a stripped-down bare carbon fibre interior without sound deadening for weight savings. Buyers can join with the team to build the car of their specifics, this includes things like designing the exhaust system and tailor its sound according to their liking.

SSC will only build a total of 100 units of the standard Tuatara and Tuatara Striker, while the Aggressor will be a much more exclusive offering with only 10 units being made. Prices for the Striker and Aggressor models start from $199,000 but will change according to the options selected.

The Striker is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine which produces 1,350 hp and 984 lb-ft of torque while running on 91-octane pump gas and 1,750 hp and 1,322 lb-ft of torque on E85. This is combined with a 7-speed automated CIMA gearbox that helps the car reach a top speed of 270 mph / 434 kmph.

The Aggressor produces 1,350 hp as standard, and can even reach 2,200 hp and 1,604 lb-ft of torque on E85 thanks to a more aggressive camshaft, higher compression ratio, and more boost, according to the tweaks from the customers.
