BMW has officially launched the all-new BMW S 1000 R in India with a price tag starting from Rs 17,90,000.
The new BMW S 1000 R comes with a masculine and sharp design with sharp edges and accentuated beads from the BMW S 1000 RR. Add to the design is the new LED headlamp which gives the S 1000 R an eye-catching look. The body has a low weight, resulting in high-level riding performance. This new BMW comes with an overall redesign when it is compared to the previous generation.
There is also a 6.5-inch multifunctional instrument panel with quick access to vehicle and connectivity functions as it is equipped with BMW Motorrad Connectivity App.

Under the hood, there is an engine from the S 1000 RR, with slight changes. It has a 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 999 cc and can produce 165 hp at 11,000 rpm and a torque of 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm. By this, the S 1000 R can reach from 0-100 Km in 3.2 seconds and can achieve a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
To contribute to reducing the noise and fuel consumption, BMW has increased the gear ratios for the 4th, 5th and 6th gears. The S 1000 R is coming in four driving modes ‘Rain’, ‘Road’, ‘Dynamic’, and ‘Dynamic Pro’ as standard.
