Toyota Raize gets an early arrival

Apparently, the Toyota Raize has been leaked over the internet with picturer right before its official launch.

A sub-four meter compact SUV from the Toyota Motors has an early arrival, the compact SUV which is based on the Daihatsu Rocky concept which was recently revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019 shares a few elements from the exterior and the interior of the Diahatsu Rocky. This new vehicle from the Japanese multinational automaker is called the Toyota Raize as its pictures were leaked over the internet recently.

The Toyota Raize will be powered by a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine that will be a 3 cylinder producing a power of 98 PS and 140 Nm of torque which will be mated with a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearboxes. The Toyota Raize will be 3,995mm in length, 1,695 mm of width with a height of about 1,620mm, with a wheelbase of 2,525 mm. Evolved from the more advanced TNGA architecture platform the Raize is based on a lower efficient cost platform- DNGA, the vehicles under this new platform have been promised to perform well with new fuel-efficient norms with lower emission and serving a better milage to its customers.

The design of this new sub-four meter compact SUV seems to be adopted from the Toyota RAV4 and the Diahatsu Rocky, with the LED taillamps and DRL’s featuring on the front bumper and the Toyota badging, placed quite up above the all-black grille, the fog lamp and DRL bumper design does look much more like the Vitara Brezza. The sportier and bold look of the new Toyota Raize also mentions that Toyota has developed it keeping in mind of its emerging markets, moreover it also mentions to be a front-wheel-drive system and offers an optional all-wheel-drive system, making it a decent off-roader.

Although this all-new compact SUV from Toyota isn’t confirmed for the Indian market yet, with these potential features and specifications it is a perfect fit to rival with the Hyundai Venue, XUV 300 and the Tata Nexon. But, the Toyota and Suzuki business partnership will be producing the rebadged version of Vitara Brezza in India as it did before with the Balena rebadged as the Toyota Glanza, Toyota will be producing the Vitara Brezza under its brand name and thus this makes the arrival of Toyota Raize a bit complicated as of now.
