VIDEO: Watch Joe Biden Test Drive The New Ford F-150 Lightning Prototype

Ford has one of the longest histories in the automobile industry. The brand has always tried to bring the best to the industry. The company recently also entered the EV segment with their Mustang Mach-E, adapting to the changes in the industry. Yesterday, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, tried out the latest EV Pickup by Ford. This new EV will be called the F-150 Lightning. Have a look:

The POTUS visited the Ford driving course, where the safety tests are conducted by the company. "This sucker's quick," was President Biden’s first response to the reporters and photographers after a quick round. When asked if he would buy it once it was released, Biden responds positively. The President interestingly also gave auto enthusiasts a small leak about this EV pickup before its official reveal today, as he said the EV Pickup went from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

This unscheduled visit was a part of a larger tour to promote the new EV pick-up from Ford and along with the President's infrastructure proposal, as Biden is very supportive of EVs. During his 2020 Presidential campaign, there was an ad from Biden’s team titled “Joe Biden Gets Vetted.” In this ad, he sits behind the wheel of his 1967 Corvette and talks about the potential for an electric model. We could also see the President saying, "I believe that we can own the 21st-century market again by moving to electric vehicles."
